We lit a candle for all who were in the path of Hurricane Henri. Long Island and Connecticut seem to face the worst of this storm. We send them our prayers of safety.

We lit a candle for mental health awareness. May this light shine for all whose lives are touched by mental illness – and may it be a bright light because we are a multitude. May we recognize mental illness as we recognize physical illness and care for one another accordingly.

We light this candle for the people of India. May this light focus our attention and our dedication to bring help and healing to a nation overrun with the ravages of Covid-19. 

We light this candle for Ghana Hylton’s Aunt Clementine Young and Uncle Edward Whiteurs. We hold Ghana in our respect as she mourns these dear ones. 

Shannon Gattens lights this candle for support for Amy Hains who holds vigil for her father in Maryland as his health continues to decline. Amy, may you feel our love as your father is gifted by your own love. 

Joel Naftelberg and Beth Smith light this candle for Bobby Byrnes, Joel’s childhood friend who has been in and out of the hospital with a serious cardiac ailment. Please hold Bobby in your prayers as he fights for his life.
