What good is sitting alone in your room?
Come hear the music play
Life is a cabaret, old chum
Come to the cabaret
Put down the knitting, the book and the broom
It’s time for a holiday
Life is a cabaret, old chum
So come to the cabaret –Cabaret (lyrics by Fred Ebb)
Remember the fUUn Prom at the Van Vleck House? Remember the coffeehouse with fried catfish last year? This time, our spring fundraising event is a cabaret night in Fletcher Hall on Saturday, May 7th, at 8 pm. UUCM Assistant Music Director Stearns Matthews is hosting an array of singers from local talent to NYC professionals, all the way to Broadway performers. They will be accompanied by a band of musicians from our congregation, led by yours truly. Light hors d’oeuvres and soft drinks will be served, otherwise BYOB. It is promising to be a memorable night of fun entertainment. Get your tickets at bit.ly/UUCabaret, and remember to tell your friends.
See you at the Cabaret!
